Government Girls Degree College (GGDC), Kota is opened by State (Uttar Pradesh) govt. in Saharanpur district. The college was established in year 2003 in Kota village, 18 kms away from Saharanpur city to facilitate quality higher education free of cost to the girls of rural background.GGDC is affiliated to Maa Shakumbhari University Punwarka Saharanpur (U.P), and is recognized by the UGC under 2 (f) and 12 (B). The college follows the curriculum NEP 2020 designed by the Maa Shakumbhari University Punwarka Saharanpur (U.P), that covers the basic and applied aspects with emphasis on knowledge, skills and societal development.Apart from curricular activities the institution attempts to involve students in plethora of extra - curricular activities to bring out their innate abilities for the harmonious personality development of students.Extension/Community services like NSS (National Service Scheme) and Rangers unit of college enroll large no. of students every year so that they can interact with the society and gain social skills to become a better  citizen.The college offers under graduate courses in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with 09 (nine) subjects namely, Hindi, Sanskrit, Political Science, History, Education, Home Science, Economics, Physical Education and sociology. The Institution proposed to start post graduate courses in future at different levels too.The college staff in current session 2025-2026 comprises of , 05 permanent lecturers,02 class III and 01 class IV employee. GGDC, Kota aims to provide continuous and comprehensive high quality education to develop educated and skilled young women of tomorrow who can fulfil their responsibilities and duties towards their family, society and nation efficiently.
